SATCHEL MEDIA PLAYER TO BENEFIT PODCAST CREATORS AND CONSUMERS ALIKE
For the past two years, Beau York, founder of the podcasting company PODASTERY, has been hard at work learning the trade and understanding the pain points of fellow podcasters.
Responsible for creating high quality internet radio shows with niche focuses such as COUNTRY SQUIRE RADIO for pipe and pipe tobacco enthusiasts and FLASH TV TALK, the number one fan podcast for the CW’s THE FLASH television show, York has now set out to fix the problems he’s recognized in the industry with the new podcasting app SATCHEL.
“Podcasts are reaching a point where awareness is higher than ever but accessibility still escapes many would-be listeners,” York said. “We are creating an application that not only benefits the podcaster at every level, but also gives listeners the best way to find and stream their favorite podcasts without the intrusion of on-screen or third party ads.”
York, along with business partner and VP of Development Briar Bowser, has developed a brand new take on the podcast app. Not only will listeners be able to listen to their favorite shows including all of York’s PODASTERY shows, but they will also be able to support podcasters through a unique user interface.
“Many podcasters depend on listener support as their primary source of revenue,” York said. “Listening to a podcast is something that many do on the go, and as much as they may want to help contribute, by the time they are able to do so, it’s no longer top of mind.”
York explained, “With the Satchel Media Player, you will be able to find, stream, and financially support your favorite podcasts at the click of a button, all from within the app!”
SATCHEL will be available for open beta through the Google Play Store on all Android devices with a future release for Apple’s iOS.
